A surprise from my past,
A most wonderful surprise,
appeared tonight.
I am searching for the words,
to describe what happened,
but find it so difficult to write.
Happy, silly, surprised,
unprepared....
excited.
I guess I just wasn’t ready for you,
to take my breath away,
and leave me so delighted.
Anticipation,
has never been so completely satisfied,
as it was tonight.
What a joy,
to be able to spend time,
in the warmth of your light.
Now,
anticipating our next time together,
I can’t help but smile.
For I know,
that I will be delightfully enchanted,
if even for only a short while. |
